The deposition of thin films of metal oxides on glass or ceramic is possible from the thermal decomposition of a finely dispersed aerosol in contact with hot surfaces. While pirosol process, the production of fog is the result of a phenomenon due to the emission of ultrasonic piezoelectric ceramics suitably excited.
Support: Glass Quartz Ceramics Metals Electrical properties: It is possible to obtain a range of resistance depending on the operating conditions (temperature, doping ..). The optimum values obtained depend on the nature and thickness of the deposit. Adhesion and hardness: The adhesion of thin films on glass, quartz or ceramic is very good especially for indium oxide. The resistance to the abrasion of glass is generally improved by the deposition of this oxide film. |
